Manners & Mischief, An A-Z of a Life Lived Well by Lady Glenconner will be published in hardback on 6 November.
In this new book, Lady Glenconner—who is '93 years young'—reflects on themes from ‘Affairs’ to ‘Love’, to ‘Men’ and ‘Mustique’ to ‘Beauty’ and ‘The King’, sharing tales of coronations, couture and catastrophe. Each chapter reveals moments of joy or resilience, whether offering tips on getting out of the bath with grace or coping with family tragedy. Manners & Mischief is infused with her indomitable spirit and the lessons she has learned from a well-lived life. The book also includes more than 20 previously unseen photographs from Lady Glenconner’s personal collection and is a reminder that life, at any age, should be lived with humour, heart, and a little bit of mischief!
Her publisher, Jamie Hodder-Williams said: "Anne Glenconner is one of a kind, and I’m thrilled that she has put together this highly individual collection of anecdotes, advice, and memories that will entertain and enlighten just in time for Christmas – it’s the perfect gift for her tens of thousands of admirers.”
Lady Glenconner said: "Now in my nineties, I think I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. There’s so much to enjoy and look forward to. It’s no longer the grand things that thrill me, it’s the everyday pleasures. I’ve had a long and varied life, but I’m not finished yet!”
